• Beschreibung: 4-Amino-4'-methoxystilbene is a synthetic stilbene derivative that binds to the telomerase enzyme and inhibits its activity. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in culture, but not normal cells. 4-Amino-4'-methoxystilbene can also cause chromosomal aberrations in cultured human lymphocytes. This compound is an inhibitor of endothelial cell proliferation and migration. The effects of this compound on endothelial cells are mediated by energy transfer and correlations with other chromophores at energies below 400 nm. 4-Amino-4'-methoxystilbene also exhibits mutagenicity in Salmonella typhimurium TA100, without significant effects on bacterial growth or viability.
