Beschreibung:
(2Z)-3-Phenylprop-2-enal is a natural compound that has inhibitory properties against bacterial growth. It inhibits the synthesis of DNA and RNA by binding to the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) enzyme, thereby inhibiting DNA replication. In addition, this compound inhibits the activity of bacterial enzymes such as staphylococcus and flavus. (2Z)-3-Phenylprop-2-enal has been shown to have fumigant properties due to its ability to inhibit the growth of fungi and other microorganisms in soil. This compound also has a volatile oil property, which is likely due to its inhibition of protein synthesis in bacteria.
