Beschreibung:
Piperazine is a drug that is used in the treatment of malaria, as well as for the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. It is also used to treat infections caused by bacteria or protozoa and can be used to treat some cases of asthma. Piperazine inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to bacterial enzymes responsible for DNA synthesis, preventing the formation of bacterial cell walls. The compound has also been shown to have antihistaminic activity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit histamine release from mast cells.
