This process increases the expression of genes that promote cell death and inhibits the expression of genes that promote cell growth. Monoethyl Pimelate has been shown to have anti-carcinogenic effects on prostate carcinoma cells in vitro. In addition, this compound has been shown to be beneficial for the diagnosis of prostate cancer, as it can be used as a diagnostic agent. It also increases cellular energy metabolism through its ability to activate fatty acid oxidation in mitochondria.
