Beschreibung

4-(4-Methoxybenzylamino)-7-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole is a new chemical compound that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. This compound binds to DNA methyltransferases, which are enzymes that methylate DNA. The binding of this compound inhibits the activity of these enzymes and prevents the addition of methyl groups to DNA. The lack of methylation leads to changes in gene expression and cellular function. This compound also prevents the synthesis of reducers and causes an increase in the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). 4-(4-Methoxybenzylamino)-7-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole has been shown to be more efficient than other chemotherapeutic agents because it targets multiple pathways that are involved in tumor cell proliferation.
