• Beschreibung: Cinacalcet is a drug product that is used for the treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with chronic kidney disease. It is metabolized through a number of metabolic transformations, including hydrolysis by esterases or glucuronidases, oxidation by cytochrome P450 enzymes, reduction by glutathione reductase, or conjugation with glucuronic acid. The high frequency of human activity has been shown using a patch-clamp technique on human erythrocytes. Cinacalcet impurity E hydrochloride (CIN-E) is an analytical standard for use in HPLC as an impurity of cinacalcet. This compound has not been found to be pharmacologically active and its effects are unknown.
