• Beschreibung: 4-(4-Chlorophenyl)-4-hydroxypiperidine is a chemical compound that has been shown to inhibit the human liver enzyme, cytochrome P450. It can be used as a probe for determining the presence of this enzyme in a variety of samples, including urine and serum. 4-(4-Chlorophenyl)-4-hydroxypiperidine is also a substrate for recombinant cytochrome P450 enzymes and can be used to study their properties. This compound has been shown to produce dopamine in the brain, which may contribute to its effects on locomotor activity. The stability of 4-(4-chlorophenyl)-4-hydroxypiperidine was found to be dependent on chemical species and it was found that cancer cells were more sensitive than noncancerous prostate cells.
