Elastatinal is a research tool that is used to activate cells by binding to a receptor on the cell surface. Elastatinal belongs to the Ligand class of compounds and has been shown to bind to various ion channels and receptors, including cell surface receptors. This ligand binds with high affinity to the α-adrenergic receptor (α-AR) and activates cells that express this receptor.
