- N-(3μ,4μ-Dihydroxybenzylidenecyanoacetyl)indoline, Tyrphostin B66
Tyrphostin AG 528 is a synthetic molecule that has been shown to have synergic effects on stem cells. It is also effective in inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, as well as inducing apoptosis (cell death) in these cells. Tyrphostin AG 528 has been shown to inhibit the production of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which is an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. This drug also inhibits boron nitride, a chemical used in semiconductor manufacturing, and monoclonal antibodies, which are used in biotechnology applications such as diagnostics and therapeutics. It is possible that this drug may cause adverse reactions with other drugs and food composition. This drug has not been approved for human use but is being tested on humans
