Beschreibung

2,6-Di(propan-2-yl)phenoxy]methyl dihydrogen phosphate (DHP) is an antimicrobial agent that is chemically stable in the presence of water. It has been shown to have clinical relevance against a range of bacterial and fungal species, including strains resistant to commonly used antibiotics. DHP inhibits the synthesis of fatty acids in the liver by binding to and inhibiting the enzyme enoyl reductase. DHP shows a low propensity for accumulation in adipose tissue and does not alter body mass index or lipid profile. This drug also has lubricity properties and a concentration-time curve that is similar to propofol, which may be useful for administration via inhalation.
