Produktinformation
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is a polyunsaturated fatty acid with 22 carbons and 6 double bonds. DHA is an important structural component of cell membranes, especially in the brain and retina, where it may play a role in the prevention of Alzheimer's disease. DHA has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of human cancer cells in tissue culture and reduce atherosclerotic lesion formation in animal models. The anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 has been shown to be induced by dietary DHA supplementation. This cytokine can inhibit inflammatory responses that are associated with breast cancer development.
