Methionine aminopeptidase inhibitors are drugs that block the activity of methionine aminopeptidase, an enzyme involved in the degradation of amino acids. Methionine aminopeptidase is present in a number of tissues, including kidney, liver and intestine. Methionine aminopeptidase inhibitors are often used to treat congestive heart failure and angina pectoris.
