Beschreibung:Phosphatidylinositol, 1,2-dipalmitoyl ammonium is a synthetic substrate that is used to study the enzymatic activity of lysosomal hydrolases. It has been shown to inhibit influenza virus replication and the production of antimicrobial peptides. Phosphatidylinositol, 1,2-dipalmitoyl ammonium also inhibits the protease activity in k562 cells and has an inhibitory effect on inflammatory diseases. This compound binds to serine proteases as well as dipeptidyl peptidase and inhibits their activity by sequestering them in the membrane or preventing their binding to substrates.
