PBB 10 is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the antigen on the surface of cells. It is used in immunocytochemical staining and immunohistochemical staining techniques, as well as in ELISA assays. PBB 10 can be used for the detection of brominated biphenyls (PBBs) in liquid samples that are either incubated or not incubated with a brominating agent. PBB 10 can be used for the detection of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in dry samples that are debrominated before analysis. The antibody is also useful for detecting PCBs in tissues from laboratory animals. PBB 10 stains neural tissue and has been shown to be a ligand for certain receptors in the nervous system.
