4-Phenoxyphenyl Isocyanate has been shown to inhibit the transport of L-amino acids across cell membranes, which decreases their uptake and increases their concentration in cells. This inhibition also has cross-coupling effects on β-amino acids and inhibits their transport across cell membranes.
