Beschreibung:Cemadotin is a peptide that activates an ion channel. Cemadotin is a potent and selective inhibitor of the calcium channel, L-type, alpha 1D (P/Q-type) in human erythrocytes. It inhibits cell proliferation and induces apoptosis in some cancer cells by inhibiting protein interactions. This peptide has been shown to be a potent antagonist of the neuropeptide Y receptor (Y1) with high affinity for this receptor. Cemadotin also has been shown to inhibit the binding of ligands to their receptors in a variety of cell types, including rat cortical neurons and human platelets.
