Beschreibung:LY-900009 is a small molecule that inhibits the activity of the protease secretase. LY-900009 has been shown to inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells and increase survival rates in animal models. LY-900009 may be an important drug for treating solid tumours, especially those that are resistant to other therapies. LY-900009 was also found to be effective at preventing the regrowth of tumours after treatment with chemotherapy or radiotherapy. This agent has been shown to enhance the sensitivity of cancer cells to chemotherapy, by inhibiting β-catenin protein expression and cell cycle progression. It is also known to inhibit epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) signalling, which has been implicated in tumorigenesis.
