Beschreibung

Azodicarboxylic dimorpholide is an anti-inflammatory agent. It has been shown to be effective against inflammatory diseases and autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and multiple sclerosis. Azodicarboxylic dimorpholide has also been shown to inhibit carboxy (CO) groups in the cell membrane. However, it does not affect voltage-gated ion channels. This drug is soluble in water and guanylate cyclase activity can be measured using techniques such as voltammetry and FTIR spectroscopy. When tested on a guinea pig ileum strip preparation, azodicarboxylic dimorpholide was found to reduce the release of guanylate by hydroxyl group and hydroxymethyl group reactions. The effects of this drug are dependent on the pH level; it is more potent at a lower pH level (4).
