Beschreibung

Topterone is a pharmaceutical dosage of reconstituted fatty acid ester. It is used to treat metabolic disorders, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory diseases. Topterone has been shown to have anti-cancer effects in vitro and in vivo. This agent also inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines and prostaglandins, which are signaling molecules that regulate immune response. Topterone may work by binding to the fatty acids at the cell membrane level and preventing their activation. The mechanism of action is not yet known because it is a test compound.
