Produktinformation
2-Fluoro-N-methyl-5-nitroaniline is an experimental chemical that belongs to the class of aliphatic amines. It has been shown to undergo intramolecular nucleophilic substitution with chloride, acetanilide, and cyclization with aliphatic halides. This reaction is reversible and can be catalyzed by quinoxaline derivatives. The substituents on the 2-fluoro-N-methyl-5-nitroaniline molecule have been found to affect the rate of the elimination reaction. The rate of elimination increases when there are electron withdrawing groups such as nitro or nitrile, or electron donating groups such as hydroxy or amino. 2-Fluoro-N-methyl-5-nitroaniline has also been shown to form quinoxaline derivatives by reacting with aryl halides.
