Beschreibung:18:0-Phodag is a synthetic ligand that binds to the extracellular domain of the human β2-adrenergic receptor. It is a potent full agonist at this receptor. 18:0-Phodag has been shown to be an antagonist at other G protein-coupled receptors, including the α1A and α1B subtypes of the adrenergic receptor and the δ1, δ2, and δ3 subtypes of dopamine receptors. The binding of 18:0-phodag to these receptors leads to inhibition of adenylyl cyclase and reduces intracellular cAMP levels. 18:0-Phodag has also been shown to inhibit phospholipase C (PLC) activity by blocking activation of PLCβ2 with phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2).
