Triethyl phosphate-d15 (TEP-d15) is a covalently linked probe that can be used to measure the activity of the enzyme wst-1. It has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mouse models, and it may be an effective treatment for human tumors with high levels of wst-1. TEP-d15 is also able to bind to the receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase, which is involved in the regulation of many different cellular processes including growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. TEP-d15 has been shown to selectively label gram-positive bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcus faecalis. In addition, TEP-d15 can be used as a marker for nitroaromatic compounds by reacting with nitrogen atoms found in these molecules.
