PDGFR Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor VI (SU6668) is a chemical compound that inhibits the tyrosine kinase domain of the PDGFR. It has been shown to be effective in treating metastatic colorectal cancer, and has been approved for use in Japan. Due to its toxicity profile, SU6668 cannot be used for long periods of time. The most common side effects are diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, neutropenia, and anemia. The toxicities observed in animal studies include weight loss, hemoptysis, thrombocytopenia, alopecia, hepatotoxicity and myelosuppression.
