5-Hydroxypiperidine-3-carboxylic acid (5HPCA) is a natural product that has been shown to have anti-metastatic properties. 5HPCA is a membrane permeable compound that inhibits the formation of pulmonary metastasis by binding to the surface of cells and blocking their ability to bind to each other.
