cis-13,16-Docosadienoic acid methyl ester is a fatty acid that belongs to the group of medium-chain fatty acids. It has been found in samples from the environment and in tricosanoic acid, an experimental result. cis-13,16-Docosadienoic acid methyl ester can be used as a biodiesel additive because it has been shown to have an optimum condition for biodiesel production. This compound also has low toxicity and is not readily biodegradable. The surface method was used to measure the amount of cis-13,16-docosadienoic acid methyl ester on a surface. This method showed that myristoleic acid had the highest concentration of cis-13,16-docosadienoic acid methyl ester compared to other fatty acids.
