Produktinformation
- Acetic Acid, 2-(3-Aminopropoxy)-
(3-Amino-propoxy)-acetic acid is an organic compound that is a lactam. It can be used as a cyclization precursor for the synthesis of macrocyclic compounds. The intramolecular cyclization reaction between 3-aminopropoxyacetic acid and ethyl cyanoacetate yielded the desired product in a single step. The macrocyclic ring was formed by hydrogenation of the lactam group with palladium on carbon as the catalyst. (3-Amino-propoxy)-acetic acid has been shown to react with various other compounds, such as carboxylic acids, amines, thiols, and alcohols. Mass spectra of this compound show peaks at m/z = 135 and m/z = 137 corresponding to [M+H]+ ions. Spectra also show peaks at m/z = 101 and m/z = 103 corresponding to [C2H5O]+, which are indicative
