Beschreibung:NU2058 is a fatty acid that has been shown to inhibit the replication of various viruses. It also inhibits viral infection by binding to and inhibiting the activity of the viral protein NS3 helicase. NU2058 has been shown to have antiviral activity against HIV-1, and it also inhibits human papillomavirus (HPV) infections in vivo. NU2058 is active against some strains of influenza virus and herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1). This compound also inhibits cell proliferation in vitro and restenosis in vivo. In addition, NU2058 has been shown to inhibit breast cancer cells resistant to taxanes or anthracyclines.
