NU2058 is active against some strains of influenza virus and herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1). This compound also inhibits cell proliferation in vitro and restenosis in vivo. In addition, NU2058 has been shown to inhibit breast cancer cells resistant to taxanes or anthracyclines.
