Produktinformation
Leucomethylene blue mesylate is a methylene dye which is used as a neuropharmacological agent. It is synthesized from methylene chloride, nitrous acid, and sodium hydroxide. The chemical synthesis of leucomethylene blue mesylate involves the oxidation of methylene chloride with nitrous acid in the presence of sodium hydroxide to produce a mixture of nitrosobenzene and o-toluidine. This mixture is then reacted with hydrochloric acid to produce two different products: leucomethylene blue and hydrochloric acid. Leucomethylene blue Mesylate has been shown to be effective in the treatment of degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, as well as edema caused by cerebral vascular accidents.
