• Beschreibung: N-Acetylglucosamine-BSA is a modified form of N-acetylglucosamine that is used as a carrier protein in the production of monoclonal antibodies. It binds to sugar residues and enhances antibody response. N-Acetylglucosamine-BSA binds to receptor molecules on liver cells and facilitates uptake into these cells, which then process it into glucose. This molecule has been shown to increase hematopoietic cell proliferation in vitro and stimulate the release of spermatozoa from the testes in vivo. Lectins can be used to detect this molecule by binding to its carbohydrate binding sites.
