• Beschreibung: Copper chromite is an oxide of copper, chromium and oxygen that exists in two forms: a black form (CuCrO) and a red form (CuCr2O3). The black form is produced by the reaction of sodium carbonate with copper and potassium dichromate. The red form is obtained by heating the black form. Copper chromite catalyzes oxidation reactions in water vapor, which can be used to produce hydrogen peroxide or ozone. This material also has a synergistic effect with zirconium oxide as an oxidation catalyst. Copper chromite can also be used as a catalyst for various organic reactions, such as the production of fatty acids from glycerol or ethanol.
