• Beschreibung: Tungsten(IV) sulfide (WS2) is a non-toxic, inorganic compound that belongs to the group of sulfur compounds. WS2 is a semiconductor with a bandgap of 2.3 eV and has been shown to have an irreversible inhibition on the sodium citrate enzyme. When irradiated with light, WS2 emits light at a wavelength of about 2200 nm. This property has been used for cancer treatment by laser ablation and chemical vapor deposition. The kinetics data obtained from the reaction solution and structural analysis have shown that WS2 is not very stable under acidic conditions but can be stabilized by oxidation catalysts such as molybdenum or tungsten oxide.
