Beschreibung

Fumitremorgin B is a natural product that has been shown to have a wide range of biological properties. It has been shown to inhibit the transcriptional regulation of nitric oxide synthase and protein kinase C, as well as the activity of nitro reductase and xanthine oxidoreductase. Fumitremorgin B also inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species by inhibiting the tyrosyl radical enzyme and the electron transfer chain. The chemical diversity of this compound includes reactions with nitro groups, which are important for its antitumor activity. Fumitremorgin B has also been shown to inhibit monoclonal antibodies in vitro, including those against cancer cells.
