• Beschreibung: J61 is a fatty acid with cytotoxic activity against tumefaciens-mediated transformation of HL-60 cells and K562 cells. It has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against myeloid leukemia cell lines. J61 has been shown to induce apoptosis by activating the cation channel, which in turn leads to an increase in intracellular calcium levels, causing activation of the polymerase chain reaction and hemolytic activity. J61 has also been shown to inhibit the growth of certain bacteria by binding to the surface membrane receptor and inducing expression of colony-stimulating factor. The antibodies that are produced bind specifically to these receptors on the surface of certain cancer cells, leading to an increased cytotoxic response.
