Beschreibung

The peptide (E)-6-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-3-[(E)-3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]-N,N-diethyl-3-methyl-4-oxohex-5-enamide is a potent and selective activator of the TRPC1 ion channel. It has been shown to activate TRPC1 channels by binding to the extracellular region of the protein and mimicking endogenous ligands such as arachidonic acid. The peptide does not bind to other ion channels such as TRPV1 or TRPV2, which are involved in pain sensation. The peptide can also inhibit the activity of protein kinase C and phospholipase A2 enzymes.
