Produktinformation
6-Bromo-2,2-difluorobenzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-amine is a 5-membered heteroaryl compound that is structurally related to the tryptamines. It has been used as an antiviral agent against HIV and other viruses. 6-Bromo-2,2-difluorobenzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-amine has shown antiviral activity against HIV in vitro and in vivo and inhibits replication of other viruses such as herpes simplex virus (HSV) type 1 and human cytomegalovirus (HCMV). This drug binds to the viral enzyme reverse transcriptase and blocks RNA synthesis. 6Bromo-2,2-difluorobenzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-amine also inhibits DNA polymerase activity in a cell culture system.
