Produktinformation
- 4-Methylphenyl-α-D-thiomannopyranoside
The 4-Toluoyl-a-D-thiomannopyranoside is a six-membered ring with a hydrogen atom at the center. The structure of this molecule is composed of two chains, each of which has four atoms in their backbone. There are also two conformations to the molecule, one that can be observed as a chair conformation and one that can be seen as a boat conformation. In the chair conformation, there are three bonds that form from the central carbon atom to other carbons on the same chain. These bonds are called alpha bonds, and they connect in a linear fashion. In the boat conformation, these three bonds form an angle of 120 degrees with each other and have staggered geometry. The alpha bonds in this case form an angle of 180 degrees with each other.
