Beschreibung:(+)-S-Myricanol glucoside is a natural compound that is found in the leaves of the myrica species. It is an inhibitor of biphenyl and diarylheptanoid biosynthesis. (+)-S-Myricanol glucoside has been shown to inhibit the growth of macrophages and interfere with cellular respiration by inhibiting the production of superoxide radicals. This compound also inhibits the induction of nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, which are involved in inflammation, as well as other biochemical pathways such as protein synthesis. The inhibition of these enzyme pathways leads to decreased levels of prostaglandin E2, a major mediator of inflammation.
