Beschreibung

Phloridzin is a phloroglucinol derivative that is an equilibrative nucleoside. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting the metabolic response of lipopolysaccharide in mouse macrophages and the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and interleukin-1β. Phloridzin also inhibits glucose transport, which leads to decreased glycolysis, and it has low affinity sites for α1-acid glycoprotein.
