• Beschreibung: Flucetosulfuron is a herbicide that has been shown to have synergistic interactions with other herbicides. Flucetosulfuron binds to the active site of the plant enzyme, 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase (EPSPS), and inhibits its function. It is also used as a selective herbicide for broadleaf weeds in wheat and barley crops. Flucetosulfuron has been shown to inhibit mitochondrial cytochrome P450 enzymes and fatty acid synthesis in human liver cells. Magnetic resonance spectroscopy has shown that flucetosulfuron exhibits dispersive solid-phase extraction behavior on cationic surfactants such as sodium citrate or dry weight. The physiological function of flucetosulfuron is not well understood at this time, but it may be related to its effects on mitochondrial cytochrome P450 enzymes.
