• Beschreibung: N4-Acetyl-3'-O-tert-butyldimethylsilyl-5'-O-DMT-cytidine is a novel nucleoside analogue that was synthesized from a cytidine analogue. This compound has antiproliferative activity against cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. The mechanism of action is not yet known, but it is thought to be due to the inhibition of DNA synthesis and/or the induction of apoptosis. N4-Acetyl-3'-O-tert-butyldimethylsilyl-5'-O-DMT-cytidine is not active against HIV, herpes simplex virus type 1, or herpes simplex virus type 2. It also has no effect on the replication of the influenza A virus and cannot inhibit the replication of poliovirus type 1.
