The IR spectrum exhibits absorption bands at 3200 cm−1, 1650 cm−1, and 1530 cm−1. Hydrogen bonding interactions occur between the methoxy group and the protonated amine group in the molecule's structure. The yield of this reaction was found to be 65% by GC analysis.
