Beschreibung

Ugaxanthone is a natural product that has been found in the leaves of the plant Ugaxanthera ugandensis. It has shown antibacterial activity against faecalis, a type of bacteria that causes urinary tract infections. The diameter of Ugaxanthone ranges from 3-10 nm and it is soluble in water. Although Ugaxanthone was first isolated as a natural product, its structure was later determined to be synthetic. This compound has been reported to have anticancer activity and may be developed into a cancer drug. Synthetic chemistry methods were used to synthesize this compound using fatty acid isomers. Ugaxanthone can also be found in exudate from the skin and other tissues from a variety of animals, including humans.
