Beschreibung:
2-Pyrrolidin-2-yl-1H-benzoimidazole is a ligand that has been shown to have antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It binds to aspartic acid in bacterial cell walls, inhibiting the synthesis of peptidoglycan, which is an essential component for bacterial cell walls. 2-Pyrrolidin-2-yl-1H-benzoimidazole has been shown to have low affinity for mammalian cells and does not affect their growth. This compound also inhibits the growth of aerobic bacteria such as Enterobacteriaceae and ciprofloxacin resistant strains such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa. 2-Pyrrolidin-2-yl-1H -benzoimidazole has shown inhibitory effects on Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus.
