It also inhibits the synthesis of uronic acid and butyric acid, which are components of the bacterial cell wall. In addition, 2'-deoxy-2'-fluorouridine-5'-triphosphate sodium salt is able to inhibit nucleotidylyltransferase, which is an enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of fatty acids in bacteria.
