2’-Deoxy-2’-fluorouridine 5’-monophosphate triethyl ammonium is a nucleoside or ribonucleoside with antiviral, anticancer and other biological activities. This compound has been modified by the replacement of the ribose sugar moiety with a deoxyribose sugar moiety. The modification is achieved by enzymatic phosphorylation of 2’-deoxyuridine 5’-monophosphate in the presence of ATP, followed by reaction with triethyl amine. The resulting product is a nucleoside or ribonucleoside that has been modified to have one less phosphate group on its sugar moiety.
