Beschreibung:
2-Octadecyl-1,4-dimethoxybenzene is a monolayer that has been shown to be effective in transferring amphiphiles to subphase. This monolayer is formed on the surface of an aqueous solution containing glycerin and 2-octadecyl-1,4-dimethoxybenzene. The transfer complex is then formed by the addition of surfactant molecules to the aqueous phase. Conductivity measurements of the monolayer show that it has high conductivity for both electrolytes and non-electrolytes, which may be due to its amphiphilic nature.
