• Beschreibung: 3’-O-Levulinyl-2’-deoxyadenosine is a nucleoside and a prodrug for the anticancer drug 2’,3’-dideoxyadenosine. 3’-O-Levulinyl-2’-deoxyadenosine is an activator of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) synthesis and also inhibits DNA repair. In mammals, 3’-O-levulinyl-2’deoxyadenosine is converted to 2’,3′ dideoxyadenosine monophosphate (ddAMP), which can be phosphorylated to ddATP in cells. 3′ -O -levulinyl -2′ -deoxyadenosine has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo.
