Beschreibung:Orexin-A is a peptide that has been shown to activate orexin receptors, which are ligand-gated ion channels. It is used as a research tool in cell biology and pharmacology. Orexin-A, also known as hypocretin-1, is an endogenous neuropeptide that regulates arousal and wakefulness. The activation of the orexin receptor by Orexin-A leads to the opening of voltage-gated Ca2+ channels, resulting in Ca2+ influx into the cell and increased neurotransmitter release. Orexin-A binds to both orexin receptor subtypes (orexins 1 and 2) with similar affinity but with different binding modes. This antibody can be used for western blotting or immunohistochemistry studies in order to detect the presence of Orexin-A in cells or tissues.
