• Beschreibung: Dasatinib is a cancer drug that belongs to the group of drugs called tyrosine kinase inhibitors. Dasatinib inhibits the growth of cells by binding to an enzyme called epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) which activates cell division and proliferation. Dasatinib binds to the EGFR and prevents it from receiving signals from other molecules such as epidermal growth factor, leading to the death of cancer cells. Dasatinib has been shown to be effective in treating chronic myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia in adults. Dasatinib is also used in the treatment of solid tumors that are resistant to other anticancer agents.
