Produktinformation
4-Phenyl-3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1(2H)-one (PDN) is a synthetic compound that has been shown to exhibit profile and physicochemical properties. PDN's receptor selectivity is due to its ability to dimerize with the 5HT1A serotonin receptor. PDN has been shown to be an agonist of this receptor, which may be related to its antidepressant activity. This compound also inhibits ovary development in rats, as well as inhibiting the growth of human breast cancer cells in culture. The Friedel-Crafts reaction was used to produce PDN from naphthalene and anthracene.
